Soon after it's inception, UNESCO inaugurated the Kalinga Prize for the popularization of Science. India was responsible for finding, as it was their original suggestion
For many years, I had the honor and responsibility of aiding in the selection of the prizewinners, chosen from world-wide nominations.
India has now made a further valuable contribution by publishing a celebratory volume on the prize and its distinguished laureates, covering the last 60 years.
