REFLECTIONS ON OUR AGE

REFLECTIONS ON OUR AGE

The book of lectures, Reflections on our Age , dating from 1946, is still very relevant. The book contains lectures from World Scholars given at the Opening of the 1 st General Conference of UNESCO at the Sorbonne University, Paris. The Chapters provides their summaries of the present and future, in UNESCO's areas of Science, Culture, Education and Communication. It was and remains a valuable inspiration for all those connected to the Institution. It was published by David Hardman (General Editor), London, A. Wingate, 1948, then in New-York, by the Columbia Universy Press, 1949. It exists in a digital form since 4 October 2007.

Shouldn’t UNESCO launch a similar effort, to take place at the time of the commemoration of its 75th anniversary?
